Just got pierced? Congratulations! To ensure your new piercing heals properly, it's essential to follow the recommended aftercare instructions. Here's all our advice for healthy, uncomplicated healing.
The care to be performed
Always wash your hands before touching your piercing. Clean the area twice a day with a sterile saline solution (physiological spray) or a mild, fragrance-free, antibacterial soap. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry gently with a sterile compress (never cotton!).
Avoid harsh products such as alcohol, Betadine, hydrogen peroxide...
Things to avoid during the healing process
Don't touch your piercing without reason.
Never rotate your jewelry.
Do not change the jewelry until it is completely healed.
Avoid swimming pools, spas, seas and lakes.
No tight or dirty clothing on the area.
No makeup, perfume or cream on the pierced area.
Do not sleep on the newly pierced area (donut or airplane pillows may help).

Every body is unique: some piercings heal faster, others require more patience. Continue aftercare until the end of the recommended period.
Signs to watch for
Contact your piercer or a healthcare professional if you observe:
Significant redness or persistent heat.
Excessive or painful swelling.
A yellowish or greenish discharge.
Fever or unusual fatigue.
Never remove the jewelry yourself if you have any doubts or suspect an infection.
After healing
Clean your jewelry regularly, even after it has healed.
Change your jewelry only when healing is complete or after approval from your piercer.
We favor quality materials: titanium, 14/18k gold or surgical steel (meeting European standards).
Check-up visit.
We invite you to come back to us 1 to 2 months after your piercing, in order to monitor the progress of its healing.
